Miniature: Bring your own
Class Capacity: 15 seats available
This 4-hour class will cover the essentials of understanding the theory behind and practical application of several commonly used brush techniques in miniature painting.
Glazing - the application of thin, successive layers creating a smooth blend from light to dark. A wet on dry technique.
Two Brush Blending - as the name implies, using two brushes best used on large surfaces to create a smooth blend quickly. A wet on dry technique.
Wet Blending - using one brush loaded with multiple colors or applying large amounts of wet paint to a surface and blending directly on the surface before drying. A wet on wet technique.
Dry Brushing - using a brush that is mostly dry to apply paint quickly to textured areas.
I will present each technique one at a time with explanation of how it works, demonstration and then assisting everyone in the class with trying it and troubleshooting as required.
